Print a Molecular Model

Standard Settings

• Models are printing in PLA which gives a durable model, but is biodegradable.
• Atoms are 11 mm in diameter. Bonds are 2.4 mm in diameter.
• We can routinely print up to 5 separate colors, but we can do more.
• Standard colors: Carbon = Black, Oxygen = Red, Halogens = Green, Sulfur = Yellow, Bonds = White, Nitrogen = Blue, Metals = Copper or Silver.
• We will typically omit hydrogens unless otherwise indicated.
• There is effectively no limitation to the size of the model we can print since they can be printed in sections and assembled.
• Cost – $10 base charge + $1/atom. Shipping is extra.
• We can typically fabricate a model in 1-2 weeks.

Order Your Model

Send a standard CIF file to dan@fnw3d.com with your full name and address. Indicate whether you wish to deviate from the standard settings, how soon you need the model and any other special instructions. You will receive a quote back, usually within 24 hours. We generally require payment up front by credit card, etc., but are happy to work with the bureaucratic requirements of public and private educational institutions.
